Data retention is the period for which we keep the ingested data in our system. After the period is up you will no longer be able to see or use the data past the data retention period. Data outside your plan's retention perion will be purged automatically.

Input devices have sensors connected to them and they transmit measurements to Levelll. Output devices control other physical devices and can be used in automations to automate your workloads.

Our billing process is based on the active devices count in your account. You multiply the count of active devices by your current plan price per device and you get the total monthly or yearly amount. An active device is a device which has made any transmissions (sent data to our system) throughout the current billing period.

No. Inactive devices are not billed, altrough they contribute to the limit on your current plan. Inactive devices are the ones which haven't transmitted any data to Levelll over the past billing period.

Public/shared dashboards enable you to share pre-selected insights of your data with people outside your organization. They are not required to sign-up in order to browse the shared data. There's an ability to create protected public dashboards which are password protected for even more granular control over who is viewing your data.

An automation is a task which gets executed by a trigger (event or time-based). Each automation is a 3-step process - triggers, conditions and actions. Triggers start the execution. The automation then checks if the conditions are all met before proceeding to the actions. Actions define what the automation should do - for example: send a notification or control an output device.

Event triggered automations get triggered by any incoming data that comes from an input device and that's done real-time. Scheduled automations are triggered on a time basis - for example every day at 8AM.
